With projected numbers for the 2010 Etape Caledonia showing a further increase of 1,000 participants, accommodation becomes a critical factor.
- How do we make it easy for cyclists to find accommodation?
- How do we encourage cyclists and their supporters to stay for three and fours days?
- What do we say to non cyclist visitors?
- Should we warn non cycling visitors that there is a big cycle event on that weekend?
- How do the different booking agencies communicate so there is some joined up thinking in place?
- What about private house holders offering their spare rooms too?
These are some of the questions we have tried to address in the attached document.
Please read it and give us your feed back to james@explorescotland.net or 01796 473335 – I am sure there are areas that we can improve further on with your comments and feed back.
Please help us make all this work for everyone, the cyclists, their supporters, the accommodation providers and the whole of Highland Perthshire.
