Highland Safaris Cycle Day 
This is to be organised around Highland Safaris upgraded lodge and cycle facilities. A chance top try them out first hand.

Drop at the Top with Highland Safaris
Booking required. Great for the whole family to experience cycling down from the high mountain glens, very popular for the family.

Cycle up Glen Tilt
With Base Camp Bikes and James Rattray an event for the whole family, you can hire bikes too. To be organised around other events, an afternoon or evening cycle up Glen Tilt. James will finalise this once he knows the full program.

Raft/Mountain Bike package.
Raft on the River Tay from Aberfeldy to Grandtully (6 miles) meeting at Splash at 09H30. We provide all gear and transport associated with the trip. There is a photographer on every trip and the pictures can be downloaded from our website free of charge. Minimum age - 8yrs oldraft-falls.jpg.
 
After the participants have had lunch we will take them and their bikes up to Griffin Forest for the descent to the Hermitage. The ride is about 8 miles long of moderate difficulty. The ride takes about an hour. Transport will be provided for bikes and riders from the Hermitage to Splash. There will be one guide on the ride. Minimum age - 14yrs old.
 
Price £55pp with their bike, £65pp with our bike. Minimum numbers 4. Obviously we will take single bookings but they may need a bit of a juggle around. Fun afternoon at Dunolly Adventures
(Tel 01887 820298 and www.DunollyAdventures.co.uk) in Aberfeldy an open day which will have all the following events happening:

  • Bouncy Castles - free
  • Facepainting - free
  • Climbing wall - free
  • Climbing tree - free
  • Cycling Slalom/Skills course on site - free
  • Kayaking Taster Sessions on the Tay just off site - free
  • Raft trip for Local residents and Etape competitors/families - Discounted
  • Arts & Crafts sale
  • Outdoor equipment (including bike supplies) sale
  • The Cafe will also be open for refreshments and we are toying with the idea of having a BBQ running as well. There will be no charge for entry and as you can see most of the events are free. The raft trip will have quite a large discount.

Kevin Ramage is looking to run an event on the Friday evening again, similar to last year and was currently trying to make contact with Mark Bowman, failing Mark he will look to find another cycle orientated speaker

Alan Neilson the new Manager of the Dunalastair Hotel at Kinloch Rannoch, is investigating the idea of running an event for spectators and supporters around the Etape feed station being located in the village square.
