The Highland Perthshire Cycling Festival was set up as a direct result of Etape Caledonia, Britain's first closed road cycle event taking place on 81 miles of Highland Perthshire roads.
On the Saturday of Etape Caledonia weekend the BIG Day Cycling Festival has developed in to a very popular and well attended event.

The Highland Perthshire Cycling Festival will be taking place in the run up to the Etape Caledonia. HIGHLAND PERTHSHIRE CYCLING are very excited to have a huge range of events and activities running from Saturday 4th May to Saturday 11th. In 2013 the Festival will have a mountain bike enduro, kids races, guided road and off road rides, downhill mtb uplift evening, a film night (you are invited to submit a cycling film you’ve made to be shown, contact kat@highlandperthshirecycling.co.uk for more info), fun days, plus lots more. One of the highlights of the Festival is the BIG Day, held in Victoria Park in Aberfeldy from 11 - 4pm on Saturday 11th May. This will have lots of try outs, races, demos, stalls, funny bikes, food and more!
