All year biking in Highland Perthshire

Big Tree Cycle photo by Kirsteen Tares of Skinny Tyres fame!Cycling all year in Pitlochry, Blair Atholl, Aberfeldy, Dunkeld and Kinloch Rannoch, all Highland Perthshire towns in the very centre of Scotland. Set amidst magnificent wooded and fertile glens and dramatic mountain tops where Red Deer roam and the Golden Eagle soar. The air is so clean and pure that plant species such as tree lichens can be seen.  These plants only survive in pure unpolluted air.

One of the main advantages of biking in Highland Perthshire is that the area is unspoilt and quiethighlands_pitlochry.jpg in comparison to the rest of the UK. No matter which bike route you choose you will almost certainly be on your own for long periods of the route. This will allow you to enjoy the magnificent scenery, the sound of the mountain burn (stream) or the call of a buzzard, the barking of the roe deer.  The area has an abundance of wildlife such as red squirrels, hares, roe deer and on the higher routes the magnificent red deer and if your very luck a golden eagle, most of which are often seen.

Highland Perthshire is great cycling country with routes open no matter what time of year, with each season offering its own particular delights and qualities.  We are fortunate to have a couple of dedicated bike shops, which will be able to offer you everything from advice on different bike routes, and all your biking needs to servicing your bike.
