Aberfeldy, Dunskiag, Birks of Aberfeldy Cycle Route

Cycle Route General Description:-
After initial steep tarmac climb nice views can be seen back to Aberfeldy and across valley. Route continues to climb moderately to high point.  Fantastic single track decent in woodland which contains tree roots which can be slippery if wet.
Park in Birks of Aberfeldy car park.  Leave Birks and head back towards Aberfeldy but take the first left 50m after joining main road.  Road heads south and goes uphill steeply for 500m where it forks and levels of and heads west.  Continue along road initially tarmac then unmade for 1.5 km until Dunskiag. Keep left uphill and around hairpin left.  After 150m carry straight on now heading east and continue climbing uphill for 1.2km until you join tarmac road.  Go straight across and over ruined stone dyke (wall) into woods then follow single track for 1.2km all the way down to Birks car park.
Fitness level – medium  - one short steep climb
Skill level – medium/high, rough single track decent with bumps and tree roots
Distance – 5 km
