Drummond Hill and Black Rock viewpoint returning via Taymouth Castle ‘Gallops’ Cycle Route

Cycle Route General Description:-
Mainly off road on Drummond Hill by land rover track with steep (ish) ascent to dramatic Black Rock viewpoint, then undulating descent (and climbs) through forest to the picturesque ‘gallops’ track back to Kenmore village.

Park at Courtyard shop and bar in Kenmore (opposite the Kenmore Club). Turn right onto A827 then immediately right onto back road signed Loch Rannoch (check) for …km. Pass Kenmore stables on right after … then turn next left into Drummond Hill Forest trails passing through car park (name) and follow track uphill for… to T junction. Turn left and follow track uphill for … until reach Black Rock viewpoint. Reverse directions to T-junction but carry straight on for ….km, keeping right on land rover track to gate and then back to road junction (opposite quarry). Turn right and follow road for …km and turning left onto old Taymouth castle ‘gallops’ (lines of birch trees) opposite Drummond (white) cottage. Keep right on gallops keeping fields to the right, past the Kenmore golf course, Maxwell’s temple, Mains of Taymouth Caravan Park on right and historic Kenmore hotel on left across river. At A827 turn right and then first right back to Courtyard.
